Due to bad weather or a lack of ramps, some dinners have been canceled or had
date changes in the past. So please contact them if you are traveling a long distance.
Polk County Ramp Tramp Festival, Greasy Creek, TN
April 23-26. The Polk County 4-H Camp is located 2 1/2 miles off Hwy. 64 on
Hwy. 30 Between Ocoee and Ducktown. Get in on all the fun. Help dig ramps on
Thursday and clean them on Friday. Spend Saturday enjoying bluegrass music and
old time fellowship while enjoying a meal of fried ramps in eggs,
fried potatoes, streaked meat, white beans, and corn bread. See their website

Cosby Ramp Festival, Cosby, TN
May 4. 55 Years of Them Golden Ramps. Music, Food and Fun for the Whole Family.
Green Eggs & Ramps, BBQ Chicken Served With Ramps. Country, Gospel, Bluegrass
and Rock & Roll Music. Maid of Ramps Contest. Appalachian Crafts. All
Held Outdoors at Beautiful Kineauvista Hill. 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission:
$5.00 for adults (12 years +), $3.00 for Children age 6 to 12, FREE for children under 6.

23rd Annual Flag Pond Ramp Festival, Flag Pond, TN
May 10. 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Community Center (Unicoi Co.). The menu includes
Fried ‘taters and ramps, Soup beans, Coleslaw, Bacon, Cornbread, Dessert and
a Drink. They will also be serving hot dogs and burgers for those can't (or won't) eat ramps.
One feature of this festival is the Ramp Recipe Contest. Bring your favorite
Ramp Entree for the best ramp recipe. Recipe cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Or, (if you have the nerve) enter the Ramp Eating Contest. There will be a variety
of live Bluegrass, Country an Gospel Bands playing your favorite ‘Down Home’ songs.
A Clogging/Line Dance group is also scheduled to put on a performance for your enjoyment.

Directions:
Take I -26 To Exit 5 (Flag Pond) to the Old Flag Pond School, less than a
mile from the exit.
