  2017 Dinners -- updated April 29, 2017

Due to bad weather or a lack of ramps, some dinners have been canceled or had date changes in the past. So please contact them if you are traveling a long distance.

Buckhannon Eagles 4357, Buckhannon, WV
April 1. Noon until the food runs out. The annual ramp dinner at the Buckhannon Eagles Club will be held at the club on West Virginia Route 20 North. The menu will consist of ramps, raw and cooked, beans, white and brown, cornbread, ham, fried potatoes, with or without ramps, pickled eggs and applesauce. Takeout will be available. The cost will be $13 for all you can eat. For more information, call 304-472-4858.

April 8. Noon to ? Banks District Fire Hall. Benefit dinner for Steve Chidester. Free will offering, raffle, silent auction, 50/50, bake sale. All proceeds go to travel and medical expenses for cancer treatment for Mr. Chidester.

April 8. Noon to 5:00 p.m. Calvary Assembly of God Family Outreach dinner, Valley Head, Randolph County. Macaroni & cheese available for children.

Whitesville, WV
April 8. Last year's info: 8:00 a.m. The Full Gospel Lighthouse is sponsoring a Ramp Breakfast/Dinner at God's Storehouse located at Whitesville. Menu: ham, bacon or sausage; eggs, biscuits, gravy, fried potatoes, pinto beans, corn bread and of course ramps. Your choice all for $8.00. All proceeds will go to support thier new soup kitchen.

8th Annual BVFD Ramp Dinner, Buffalo, WV
April 9. Corrected date! Noon - 5:00 p.m. 3522 Buffalo Road. $10 for adults, $8 for kids under 12.

Berea, WV
April 15. 2:00 p.m. or until the food runs out. Last year's cost: Adults, $15, Children under 10, $5. A family style ramp dinner at the South Fork Grange, 15 miles south of Pennsboro. This is a very popular dinner, so come early and come hungry. The menu includes ramps, ham, potatoes, soup beans, corn bread, applesauce, horseradish pickles, cake and coffee or iced tea.

Stink Fest, Huntington, WV
April 22. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Wild Ramp is pleased to announce that the market's 3rd Annual StinkFest, will take place at its Old Central City location (555 14th Street). Join us as we celebrate Ramp season! Feast on this iconic spring plant that is our market's namesake. Free and open to the public! Annual Feast of the Ramson, Richwood, WV
April 22. Cherry River Elementary Cafeteria. Richwood's "Feast of the Ramson" has been described as "the granddaddy of ALL Appalachian Ramp Feeds." Dinner is from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Menu includes ramps, ham, bacon, pototoes, brown beans, cornbread, desserts, coffee, cold drinks and sassafras tea. Camp Creek Lumberjack Competition and Ramp Feast, Camp Creek, WV
April 29. 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Camp Creek State Park, 2390 Co Highway 19/5 (two miles off I-77 at exit 20). It's springtime! Time to get outside.
8:00 a.m. Flower & Bird Walk (2 hours) - Hike miles can be used as miles with a naturalist on the 2017 Chief's Challenge. Lead by members of the Bibbee Nature Club, open to the public at no charge.

Seventh Annual Ramp Dinner, Colliers, WV
April 29. Noon to 5:00 p.m. Seventh year for this dinner in northern panhandle! Olde St John's Episcopal Church is at the intersection of St. John's Rd. and Eldersville Rd. (Rt. 27). We will be having ramps fried with potatoes and bacon, soup beans and cornbread. We will have a ramp and sausage sandwich and ramp dogs. We will have drinks and plenty of desserts. We are a very small, beautiful church, over 200 hundred years old. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year so please come see what the stink is all about!! 9th Annual Ramps & Rail Festival, Elkins, WV
April 29. 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 315 Railroad Avenue in the Town Square next to the Elkins Depot. Join us for the 9th Annual Ramps & Rail Festival! Festivites begin at 9am with the Ramps & Rail & Trail Bike Ride followed by a ramp-filled day! April 29. 6:00 p.m. WV Glass Museum on Main Avenue. he dinner is a Farm to Fork Dinner coordinated by the Depot/Riverfront Farmers' Market in collaboration with the Museum. Award-winning chef Geoff Kraus will be the creator of the dinner. Geoff is also Market Master for the Farmers Market. Proceeds to benefit the Farmers' Market. Mount Grove is on Rt 219 between Oakland, Maryland and Thomas, WV. As you look at a map, find where Maryland's southwestern tip fits into WV. That's about where we are. Watch for the signs. From Redhouse MD, take Rt. 219 south for approximately 8 miles to Mount Grove. From Thomas WV, take Rt. 219 north for approximately 4 miles to Mount Grove.

28th Annual Ramp Dinner, Springfield, WV
May 7. Starts at noon. The Springfield Valley VFD, will have a ramp dinner at the Springfield Fire Hall on Springfield Grade Road. Noon until the food is gone. Menu: Meatloaf, Ham, Fried Potatoes with and without eggs, Brown Beans, White Beans, Corn Muffins, Salad, Raw and Sauted Ramps, and yes we even have cake. Everything served with and without ramps.
