  2009 Dinner -- updated April 13, 2009

Due to bad weather or a lack of ramps, some dinners have been canceled or had date changes in the past. So please contact them if you are traveling a long distance.

Oakland, MD
April 18. 4 p.m to 7 p.m. The Apostolic Church annual ramp dinner. The meal will consist of deep fried ramps, potatoes with or without ramps, raw ramps, ramp greens, ramp salad, beans and ham, and drinks. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Persons may dine in or take out meals. The church is located at the corner of Rt. 135 and G Street.

Ramp Cook-Off, Swanton, MD
April 25. Discovery Center, Deep Creek Lake State Park. 11:00 – 12:00 – Judging, 12:00 – 1:00 pm - Tasting and learning. Participate in this aromatic tradition by sampling the prepared dishes. Directions: From Washington: Take 270 north to I-70 west to I-68 west. Exit 14A (Route 219 south to Deep Creek Lake). Continue south on Route 219 for 18 miles. Turn left onto Glendale Road; continue on Glendale Road for one mile, crossing over the Glendale Bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge, turn left onto State Park Road. Continue on State Park Road for one mile until you see the information sign for the state park facilities. From Baltimore: Take I-70 west to I-68 west. Exit 14A (Route 219 south to Deep Creek Lake). Continue south on Route 219 for 18 miles. Turn left onto Glendale Road. Continue on Glendale Road for one mile, crossing over the Glendale Bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge, turn left onto State Park Road. Continue on State Park Road for one mile until you see the information sign for the state park facilities.
